#63 Easter Blessings

I ♥ Promarkers theme - no papers!!!
This week's prize - $10 voucher from Digi Doodle Shop

First of all, I would like to apologise for the poor looking photo of my card. It is a lot clearer if you make it bigger by clicking on it though.

We at I ♥ Promarkers are asking you be a bit daring & to avoid using any design papers this week on your card. It is not as difficult as you might think. Suggestions....?  Why not go for embossed card for interest...or colour your way out of the predicament! My card here is kinda 50/50. One half is total image (all coloured with Promarkers of course!!!), and the other half relies on a more simplistic layout & textured card. The base layer of the Bookatrix is softly pearlescent card stock whilst the lilac card has a fantastic texture to it without me needing to add to it. To the right hand side I added an embossed heart using foam pads to attach it for dimension and went around all the card's edges with both fancy and straight peel offs before adding a peel off cross to the centre of the heart. The left hand side image is the beautiful 'Angel and Lamb', from our sponsor this week, Digi Doodle and between the two a most elaborate 'bookmark' consisting of a yellow grosgrain ribbon with a bouquet of lilac & yellow flowers.

I added a sentiment from Sentiments4You for the reverse of the card which also had a peel off border given to it and there is ample space on the opposite side to the sentiment for the 'to' & 'from' to be added later (it's going to my in laws). I then made it a stand as it is a flat card.

Hope you like it.

Tine :)

  3. I have to say I would have been gasping for air at that theme but you're right, just cover a good portion of the card with image (which we tend to do anyway!) and make use of embossing, flowers etc. I like how you made a flowery "bookmark" down the center, and the shaped card is really neat too. Well done on a tough challenge!
