Phindy's #52 Glitter, Glamour & Glitz

Yep, it's Friday again & that means a Phindy! Today's card uses 'Sudsy Suzi', and whilst my Followers might well have caught this digi on my blog only very recently, I knew she would be the perfect image for the theme this week at Phindy's - Glitter, Glamour & Glitz.

Now, most of you will also be aware of a certain Royal Wedding taking place today in London, but my card is for every girl who needs treating like a Princess, at least now & again. Isn't Suzi just right in the role, look at her out-stretched arm....don't you think she is demanding the cat to 'peel her a grape'. LOL. Not that he looks the kind to assist even if he could - he looks far too refined to dirty his claws in menial tasks. LOL.

The papers I have used (both for the background & the paper pieced bath) are from Bearly Mine and had the right kind of theme to them - pink & girly whilst essentially regal, with their strong, black heraldic imagery, and of course I added to the glitter & glamour element to the theme by adding Spray & Sparkle from Crafter's Companion to the bath.

I coloured Susi with Promarkers making sure she had matching pink slippers & rosé wine for stylish accessories & matted her onto silver mirri for yet more glitz.  I then drew myself a matching Fleur de Lis based crown with a fineliner, coloured it with Promarkers gave it a row of 'diamonds' before attaching to the mat. 'Pink diamonds' went onto the mat itself & onto the cat's collar & before it was all mounted onto the base card with foam pads I added fluffy pink feathers. True, they now almost hide the backing paper which is a shame, but I do think they do the trick of conveying pink, girly decadence. Now I would like to point out that no pink birds were harmed in making this card.....but a feather boa is looking a bit bare! LOL.

For the inside I repeated the simplistic layout (you can at least see the background paper better here), and used a sentiment from Scrapalicious.
