#60 Easter Eggs

Theme at I ♥ Promarkers - Easter
Prize sponsor this week - Joanna Sheen (£10 voucher)

Another Wednesday and another challenge for Promarker fans and this week are letting you get some Easter cards done. This rather dashing young rabbit with his stylish jerkin & cravat is from Elizabeth Dulemba and doesn't he just look like he has fallen from the pages of Alice in Wonderland - all he needs is a pocket watch and he would be good to go. Instead he is hiding Easter eggs in the grass - or picking them up - or, given my Prestonian roots, has gone to Avenham Park to Egg Roll on Easter Monday.

The image has of course, been coloured with Promarkers but I have also paper pieced his jacket & cravat (or is it a stock, I can't decide?). Anyway, I also then paper pieced all the eggs in his basket making sure that one of them looked as if someone had painted a face on one, in this case, a rabbit's face - & also one that might well have been coloured using onion skins (so a yellowy brown) which I am sure I did as a child too, though my recollection is rather vague on that one.

I have cut down the front panel at an angle to give me my shaped card ( & the hill his eggs have been rolling down), and layered up Easter colours on the front and back panels, dotting flowers cut using a Woodware punch and added tiny bitsy flowers to the centres. These theoretically should have been remnants from a circular Fiskar's punch design but I purposely only punched the bits I needed on this occasion. For the spears of 'grass' I just cut into my paper by hand and having cut the basic slits I then went back into the slits at an angle every so often to shape some blades. I carefully cut along the rabbit's outline to tuck my grass behind him before adding the yellow grosgrain ribbon from FantasticRibbons.

Tine :)
