I ♥ U


I had so many ideas as to how to make my Valentine's card for my OH that I was finding it difficult to decide which to use. In the end, I created a whole new set of cut files (any excuse, I know, LOL), using my Cameo to create my 'I ♥ U' shaped card and added an image from Precious Moments too.

I coloured my chosen image with Promarkers (as I always do, LOL) and added it to my specially constructed shaped base, layering up with a heart design paper too. To this paper I added a row of paper-piercing, this time adding 'stitches' to it with a fineliner pen. I even managed to squeeze in a bit of paper-piecing too - on his bow-tie, again a paper with tiny hearts all over it.

If you look at the back of the card you will see that it is a kind of restrained tent-fold idea so that the card won't collapse whilst on the window sill. I created tiny hearts (and 'dashes' to echo those I had popped onto the large heart on the card front) and then added yet another heart to the centre-back onto which I had welded 'From ?'  Like he doesn't know, eh? LOL. I could have course, popped all those tiny hearts into the envelope to fall out when it is opened, but as it would be me that tidied them up, I don't think I will bother! LOL.
