Magnolia Challenge 49

Gosh, was I surprised when I won last week's challenge! Well, onwards we go and another week and another challenge. As 'Folds' was the theme, I have decided to use the Miniboox board from Keepsake as the base and fold the design outwards. I have entitled this card 'Spring not yet sprung', (due probably to the hailstones pounding down when I started crafting this card!) Using one sheet of lilac A4 card I embossed the floral outline on the Miniboox board twice and cut out. Each was then folded forwards along the two central lines and joined together with tape so that a spine is created. Placing them back to back creates a carousel shape. It was then a case embellishing each of the 4 sides to this card.
Tilda (yes, it is Fall Tilda, but at least she is wrapped up warm for the weather...), is coloured with Promarkers in Spring-like colours to match the various papers I have chosen - K&Company's Sparkly Sweet and Papermania Colossal Pastels but also a blue hand made paper for extra texture. The large lilac flower added to the first side of the card is hand drawn and coloured, with a blanket-stitched edge drawn with a fineliner pen to echo the design on Tilda's hat and is also set at an angle to copy Tilda's. The 'button' is also made of card with fibres sewn through two punched out holes, and is also set at the same angle as on Tilda's hat. Hand drawn little flowers and sequins are added to the paper grass on each of the 4 sides. I can't remember where the dragonfly stamp was from, but it printed onto two sides and is set onto lilac wire.
The other 'main' side of the card featuring Tilda, has a butterfly taken from the K&Company's paper with a bejewelled body, but I have kept the other two sides relatively flat so that it can be folded down making it hopefully easier to send. The other sides also feature the verse etc, all done on the PC and the all important label so that it can be signed.
I hope you all like this weeks' creation and I would love to hear from you. :)
