Phindy's #58 Snow Angel
This week over at Phindy's Place we have a lovely sketch (shown at the bottom of the page), by our own Anne-Marije to work with. No restrictions as to birthday, anniversary or Christmas - just interpret to suit! Just as long as we can see the sketch on your card (project or even scrapbook page if you feel like it). What is more, there is no need to use one of Phindy's images to play along (though it would be nice, and you get to enter your card twice for an extra chance of winning!)
For my card I have used Phindy's 'Snow Angel' and have her scattering extra large snowflakes alongside the tiny ones drawn on the image itself. I chose this simply beautiful paper from Barely Mine as a base to work from, printing it off twice for two layers, one for the main background and another for the smaller square. Coloured with Promarkers to tone in with this paper & to hopefully give the angel in question a velvety gown with silver (gel pen) sash, I gave her wings a touch of Icicle Stickles. The large snowflakes positioned according to the layout, were made with a selection of Marianne dies & also a cut down Martha Stewart border & corner punch, from both card & vellum. These were then layered to make all the snowflakes different from one another and each frosted with more Stickles, this time tonal to the paper in Waterfall & Patina. The sentiment I typed out on the PC before cutting it into a ribbon banner shape to glue down at intervals so it looked like it was rippling in the wind.
I would just love it if you could join in with us this week and a fab sketch can really get those creative juices flowing. Hopefully I will see you there!
Tine :)
