Phindy's #60 Shake 'n' Vac Vacuum Viv
Theme at Phindy's Place - black & white (with colours on the image)
Admit it, go on. All you Brits of a 'certain age' saw 'Vacuum Viv' here and started singing the Shake 'n' Vac advert to yourselves without me having to mention it really didn't you or was it Queen's 'I Want To Break Free'! LOL. Having chosen my Phindy image & then my background papers from the Angel Co, I followed the sketch over at CLP this month for this particularly organised looking 'housewife'. Nope, I don't look half as glamorous as I clean our carpets before you ask! LOL.
She has been coloured with Promarkers but I did paper piece her flowered skirt, headscarf & the vacuum cleaner bag - this time with papers from Cardmaking & Papercraft to tie in with the vibrant pink feather duster I made her from a remnant feather from a feather boa & a cocktail stick. The punched work detail was done using a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiment this time around is from Raindrop Echo Designs.
The inside of the card I created with matching papers to the front but the sentiment here is from Scrapalicious.
We gals on the DT would just love it if you could join in with us this week, it isn't as difficult as you might think to use just blacks & whites and I think it really makes the image 'pop'. What do you reckon?
Tine :)
Challenges I would like to enter this particular card for are:
CLP - design layout
Crafty Emma - inspired by a film ( The Perfect Woman - she is far to neat & tidy to be doing such a good job of the housework, don't you think? LOL)
Moving Along With The Times - inspired by a song ( just has to be 'I Want To Break Free' by Queen - can't you just see moustachioed Freddie sweeping up in his tiny pencil skirt & big earrings in your mind's eye now!!!! LOL)
Paper Sundaes - girly girl (well, she is a woman rather than a girl, but she seems to fit the bill I would say - I don't try to do housework in stiletto heels & a pencil skirt, LOL)
CRAFT- include stitching
Catered Crop - large selection to choose from (I have - digital image, sewing machine & sewing but my lace is punched)
Stamp Something - pretty papers ( I reckon these really work well together)
Scrap-Creations - anything goes
Southern Girls - anything goes
Barely Mine - anything goes.
