#51 Teenage Grunge

Anything goes at I ♥ Promarkers                                                                                - this week's prize sponsor - Joanna Sheen!

Yep, open those flood gates once again....it is the favourite of Blogland....'Anything Goes', BUT..(& I do know I say this all the time!), don't forget to use PROMARKERS on your project.  LOL.

I made my latest DT card with a certain nephew in mind with a birthday coming up in March. This is a terribly busy couple of months for me birthday-wise and I literally have people with birthdays one day after another. Of course right in the middle of it is my own, but fortunately I don't make a card for myself.  I have been known to buy myself a present - but making a card for myself - no.... LOL. So I am trying to get to grip with the situation & get a few 'necessary' cards done.

This one I have made suitably grungy for a teenage lad I think. You know how they are - don't quite finish what they start and everything is at the last minute.  I have tried to reflect this with my card.  The mat with the numerals on has been distressed with sand paper around the edges & the one immediately behind that was pricked with a pricking tool after checks were drawn on it with a gel pen.  It would have been even cleverer if I hadn't then covered up my checks with the smaller mat. LOL.  The largest mat has just the very edges distressed and then painted with acrylic paint for texture.  Both the last 2 mentioned mats are in fact my recycled elements. Both from the same very large roll of card that was inside the middle of wrapping paper. It was darker on one side than the other - so a double-sided freebie!!!  I made the sentiment on the PC before securing with regular staples. The image is recognisably one from Kenny K. 'Cool Kid', if my memory serves me rightly and was of course, coloured with Promarkers. LOL.

All of us at I ♥ Promarkers would love you to play along with us this week and it is nice and easy, providing you remember which pens to colour with. LOL.

Tine :)

Challenges I would like to enter my card for are:
Paperplay - layer it up
Allsorts - recycling
Aly's - for the guys
Crafty Pad - for the boys
Alphabet - men (well, I am sure a 15 year old lad considers himself a man!)
Bearly Mine - men & boys
Stamptacular Sunday - whateva! (sounds like attitude to me, & I reckon this lad has some! LOL)
Crazy - happy birthday
Papertake - anything goes (optional flowers)
Kenny K - my favourite things (my fav thing here? -  'Family' -even truculent teenagers!!!! - well, sometimes....LOL).
