Phindy's Wee Babbies - Budding Beauty
Hi there everyone. Today I am going to introduce you to the latest 'Wee Babby' to be 'born' over at Phindy's Place. Her name is 'Budding Beauty', and is one of a new range from Phindy all entering this world as different times over a number of days as if they were real babies! LOL. As each Wee Babby is born, an accompanying card will be going up too, as inspiration as to how the images can be used.
I coloured my Wee Babby with Promarkers, matching up to the papers taken off the Triple Treasures CD from Create & Craft. I paper-pieced her dress & shoes, though also worked over them with the Promarkers to show the shadows and highlights particularly on her puff-ball party frock. I then drew on my own pattern of 'tights' for her & having matted her up added a fine peel-off border to the outer most mat.
I drew myself the heart and inked around the edges popping on a bow I made from the same wide ribbon that runs across the card, sewing it into shape. I then added a tiny ribbon flower from my stash which I thought matched the rose-bud design on the hem of her dress perfectly. The chain (a bit of recycling from a garment label that I glued my charm to !! LOL), was put onto the centre, along with the flowered bow using Pinflair Glue Gel and the embellished heart then attached to the card using foam pads. The white lacy border peeking out at the edges is the outer-most edge of white card cut using a Martha Stewart Punch and sewn into position.
Tine :)
Challenges I would like to enter my card into:
Catch the Bug - use a different fold
Craft Your Passion - pink (pink & lilac used)
Paper Sundaes - choose your topping ('#48 anything but a square' & '#50 something new', in this case a brand new image!)
Ooh-La-La - for someone special (new baby)
Kaboodle Doodles - hearts & flowers
Crafty Pad - hearts (bet you're surprised it isn't another Valentine card, LOL)
Crazy 4 Challenges - hearts
One Stitch At A Time - pretty
Gingersnaps GC90 - charms
Rubber Cafe - paper piecing
Your Next Stamp - paper piecing
Incy Wincy - use at least 2 different colouring mediums (Promarkers for image and inked heart)
